David L. Schmidt — CEO and Founder

David L. Schmidt

With several decades of experience within the telecom industry, software development, and information technology, David L. Schmidt serves as SAI's chief executive. Having founded several companies during his career, including SAI, David is the visionary behind the leading telecom usage management solutions that SAI offers today!

Beginning his career with IBM, Burroughs, and General Electric, he later founded Tymshare/Tymnet in 1964. There, he directed the development of the first timesharing applications for large users in fields as diverse as civil engineering, accounting, financial reporting, and decision support.

In 1976, he founded Schmidt Associates Partners to specialize in the development of custom programming on UNIX platforms. In 1980, he spun the company off as TelAccount to pursue telecommunications.

Recognizing the opportunities provided by the AT&T divestiture, in 1984 he formed what is now SAI and steered the company into the emerging telecommunications management software industry. Under his leadership over the past 30 years, SAI has expanded from a small consulting firm to become a leader in telecom usage management solutions.

Bob Lamvik — Chief Operating Officer

Bob Lamvik

Bob is responsible for the daily operations that drive customer satisfaction, service deployment, and growth strategies. Bob joined SAI fullt-time in September 2008 after serving on SAI's Board of Directors for the past year.

Bob has more than 30 years of experience in the high technology industry and has a keen sense of solution requirements for enterprise class accounts. He has held executive positions at Santa Cruz Operations and Sun Microsystems, and most recently joined SAI from asknet Inc. where he served as President. He will continue to serve on SAI's Board of Directors.

Valerie Evans — Senior Vice President, Customer Advocacy

Valerie Evans

Valerie is responsible for driving customer satisfaction across all areas of the company to ensure the best possible customer experience. She also ensures that new product development aligns with the needs of SAI's customers.

With more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry, Valerie has played a key role in the development of SAI since our inception. She previously managed a team of professionals responsible for generating new business opportunities and development of marketing campaigns. In addition to being part of SAI's senior leadership team, Val also serves as its Corporate Secretary.

Brad Hall — Vice President, New Business Development

Brad Hall

Brad joined SAI in 1991 and manages the growth of SAI's client relationships across the United States. He leads a team of professionals who are focused on developing long-term relationships with Fortune 1000 companies and large government entities.

Before joining SAI, Brad worked as a Senior Account Executive for EDS, one of the world's leading suppliers of IT solutions, where he developed business relationships for outsourcing and systems integration solutions with state government agencies.

Brad has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business from the University of Kansas.

Jim Hawkins — Vice President, Alliance Technologies

Jim Hawkins

Jim has been with SAI since 1988 and manages the technical relationships between SAI and our partners. He works to ensure that both hardware and software technologies used by SAI and our alliance partners integrate successfully today and into the future.

He has held a variety of senior management positions during his tenure with SAI, including stints as manager of Hotline Support, Operations, Sales Support, Customer Training, and Customer Service.

Jim has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico.

Marc Schmidt — Manager, Quality Assurance & Systems Integration

Marc Schmidt

Marc Schmidt joined SAI in 1991 and is currently the manager of Quality Assurance and Systems Integration (SI).  Under his direction, SI provides infrastructure services for SAI which includes installation of all computer and network devices, security, Internet facilities, purchasing, and on-site systems procurement and configuration.  His group is responsible for equipment and software installations for customers and for providing the support and resources necessary to give customers the best possible connection and processing speed when using SAI's Service Center.  He and his staff provide 24/7 response to Internet and Service Center problems.

Marc also leads SAI’s Quality Assurance team to improve work processes and testing, and ensure that SAI’s products and services meet rigorous requirements and will exceed customer expectations.
