NetQuery Basic

Course ID: NQ-001

Length: 1 Hour

Location:  SAI Facility or Instructor-Led On-line Session

Attendees:  Telecom or security personnel responsible for conducting immediate ad-hoc queries of call record data.

Description:  Basic training in use of the SAI NetQuery browser-based application. This hands-on class provides instruction and practice in accessing the NetQuery application. Students will first define and save queries using simple and progressively complex logic. Students will then execute queries, and view the competed queries for a particular time frame in a variety of file formats. Manipulating the query results using the SAI Dynamic file format will be covered and includes sorting, filtering and organizing report elements.

NetQuery Advanced

Course ID: NQ-005

Length: 1 Hour

Location:  SAI Facility or Instructor-Led On-line Session

Attendees:  Telecom personnel responsible for delivering query results to defined sets of end-users on a recurring schedule basis.

Description:  Advanced training in use of the SAI NetQuery browser-based application.  This hands-on training class covers the advanced operations in SAI NetQuery. These operations include creating and using query item selection lists, creating and saving e-mail distribution lists, creating and defining daily or weekly recurring query schedules, and automatically scheduling execution and distribution of the query result files in multiple formats.   

Prerequisites: NQ-001*

* Note NQ-001 and NQ-005 can be taken concurrently as a single 2 hour training session.


 

Sierra Gold Basic

Course ID: SG-001

Length: 2 Hours

Location:  SAI Facility or Instructor-Led On-line Session

Attendees:  Telecom or administrative personnel responsible for maintaining the station and organization database.

Description:  Sierra Gold is the software product used to create a customer database of stations, divisions and departments. The data from this database is then combined with your processed call record data to produce monthly call accounting reports for the defined divisions, departments and stations. The customer needs to maintain this database and provide the updated data on a regular basis. This class teaches the student how to use the Sierra Gold product to maintain the database, define the reports required by their organizations and control access to that information.

Sierra Gold Advanced

Course ID: SG-005

Length: 1 Hour

Location:  SAI Facility or Instructor-Led On-line Session

Attendees: Telecom or administrative personnel responsible for maintaining the definition and assignment of recurring charges for internal goods and services.

Description:  Sierra Gold Advanced features allow the customer to define a catalog of goods and services and their associated charges. These goods and services can then be assigned to stations for billing purposes. This class teaches the student how to maintain the catalog items and how to correctly assign and allocate the costs for those items to the appropriate internal organizations.

Prerequisites: SG-001 Sierra Gold Basic*

VTS Reports

Course ID: VTS-001

Length: 2 Hour

Location:  SAI Facility or Instructor-Led On-line Session

Attendees: Telecom or management personnel responsible for reviewing or supporting monthly call accounting reports at the company, division or department manager level.

Description:  This class teaches the student how to use the VTS dynamic managment reports interface at the company, division, or department levels to view and modify existing reports. These reports are generated monthly based on choices made in the Sierra Gold database. The dynamic interface allows the user to create custom views by sorting on particular columns, filtering the data, reorganizing the data and then saving those changes. In addition, the user can create aliases or custom groups for data and can also use a grouping and totaling feature in these reports. This class teaches the student different ways that individual managers can best take advantage of this highly flexible dynamic reporting interface.
